Premium ingredients, sustainable sourcing, circular packaging and giving back to nature are as important to Alaska Glacial as glowy skin. Fortunately you don’t have to choose between taking care of your skin and taking care of the planet. Our commitment to sustainable beauty and social responsibility is in our DNA. From the wilds of Alaska to your wellness routine, we’re dedicated to protecting the environment and giving back to the community and Mother Nature, while helping you achieve and maintain beauty inside and out.
Skin First
Formuals
We combine nature and science to deliver results. We NEVER use synthetic fragrances, colors, fillers, parabens, petroleum, sulfates or pthalates.
We source wild and certified organic, when possible, and bio-engineered compounds that meet high standards of safety.
Responsible
Sourcing
We harvest and source premium ingredients from nature and conscious growers. Our wild-harvested botanicals, glacier water and mineral clay is sustainably hand-harvested and abundantly available.
Recyclable
Packaging
All paper and cardboard packaging for products are FSC-certified, made with post-consumer waste and biodegradable inks. Orders are shipped using recycled materials when possible. Product components are made with recyclable glass, aluminum and PEG plastic.
We’re proud of our choices, but know we can do better. As options grow, we will continue to improve packaging and find ways to recycle or offset our carbon footprint.
Green
Manufacturing
• Small batch manufacturing
• Energy-efficient 5-star manufacturing facility based in Cordova, Alaska, run on 60-80% community hydropower
Vegan and
Cruelty Free
All of our products and ingredients are guaranteed to be vegan and cruelty-free, except for the goat’s milk in our cold-process mineral soap bars. We never have or ever will conduct animal testing.
Preserving Our Land and a Highly Prized Salmon Way of Life
Land Preservation • Habitat Restoration • Education and Leadership • Cultural Empowerment
We are advocates for the Copper River and pledge 2% of our annual revenues (or 10% of net profits, whichever is greater) to organizations that love, work and fight for its protection. We volunteer, engage and support organizations whose work to preserve salmon habitat and raise the next generation of stewards ensures the long-term sustainability and cultural importance of this impressive place we call home. Due to a comprehensive social and environmental company ethos, Alaska Glacial received BCorp status by the BLab in 2014. As a certified B Corporation, we’re committed to ensuring that our products are good for people and the Earth.
