1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual memberships and everyday actions. Philanthropy is in our DNA. Since the beginning, we have pledged 10% of our net profits or 2% of revenues, whichever is greater, to a better planet and a wild Alaska through activism, volunteering and supporting nonprofit partners.

The Made in Alaska program’s mission is to identify and promote products manufactured or handcrafted in the state of Alaska. Products which meet the programs 51 percent or more produced in Alaska criteria are eligible to use the MIA logo, which certifies product. Alaska Glacial’s natural skin care products are made in Cordova, Alaska with wildcrafted Alaskan ingredients from the Chugach Mountains and the Copper River Delta.

Leaping Bunny Certification is an international gold standard for cosmetics and personal care products. Their certification confirms that Alaska Glacial products are cruelty-free and have never been tested for safety on animals. As part of our certification, we’ve also implemented a supplier monitoring system to ensure that ingredients we purchase are never connected to animal testing.
