Shipping Policy

ORDER FULFILLMENT

During the holidays we experience a high volume of orders causing delays in fulfillment. Orders placed between 11/22-11/29 will ship out within 7 days.

Otherwise, most orders ship the same day. If all products in your order are in stock and ready, we aim to ship the same day, especially if the order is placed by 2pm AKST. Sometimes delays happen with inventory or staffing, and those orders will be processed within 24-48 hours. During the busiest holiday season, we ask your patience and do our best to turnaround order fulfillment within 7 days. If an item is backordered, you will receive a notice with estimated turnaround and can choose to wait or cancel/refund your order.

DELIVERY WINDOW

Intra-state Alaska orders deliver within 2-3  business days. Most domestic USA orders deliver within 3-5 business days. International orders outside the United States can take 1-4 weeks.

CARRIER OPTIONS

All domestic orders ship with the United States Postal Service (USPS) Priority and First Class Mail from Cordova, Alaska. USPS is the most economical and reliable shipping method between Alaska and the other US states and territories.

For international orders, we use USPS along with Asendia USA.  Orders are shipped to a central processing/sorting Asendia USA facility in the United States via USPS and delivered by the local postal service provider in your destination country. We can also ship UPS, please contact us for a quote.

From time to time, we offer promotions for free shipping on orders under $100, which are only valid in the United States. Upon request, we will refund the shipping charge by 50% to Canadian residents during these promotions.

LOST GOODS

If your merchandise is lost in transit or shows delivery when the item has not reached you, we will file a claim with USPS on your behalf and provide you with confirmation.  USPS has 48 hours to respond once a claim has been filed.  We are not responsible for shipments sent to a forwarding service or a forwarding company.  If you place an order and your shipping address is a forwarding address, you are responsible for contacting your forwarding company or service to locate your shipment.  We do not provide refunds for items shown as ‘Delivered’ by USPS, as USPS has geotracking embedded in their barcode SCAN system.

Shipments that have been determined to be lost after tracking proves unsuccessful will be replaced.

MAIL THEFT

If you believe your merchandise has been stolen, you will need to contact USPS in person or file a claim online. Mail theft is a federal crime. We are not responsible for goods claimed to be stolen and do not provide a refund in this case.

INCORRECT OR DAMAGED GOODS

If your merchandise is damaged or incorrect upon arrival, save all contents and packing materials and email us within 10 business days after its arrival with a photo of the damage. Shipments that arrive in damaged condition will be replaced only after the damaged merchandise has been verified or returned for inspection.

UNDELIVERABLE ITEMS

If items are returned to us due to insufficient address which matches shipping address provided by customer during checkout, there are two options. The first is that we are willing to refund your purchase price minus 20% restocking fee or actual shipping costs on the order, whichever is greater, even where purchases qualify for free shipping. The second is that we are willing to attempt a second delivery with a modified address, but customer must pay second attempt postage fees.

SALES or IMPORT TAXES

Online orders within the United States do not incur any taxes. Local pickup sales in Cordova, Alaska incur a 6% city sales tax. Outside the US, customs duties and VAT or GST may apply.  We ship all orders with USPS and we cannot prepay customs/fees/taxes shipping with any of their shipping services.

EU: items may be subject to duties (usually 0% for cosmetics) and entire shipment (items + shipping) may be subject to VAT (usually 20%).

Canada and Australia: items may be subject to GST tax (usually 5% of total order minus shipping).  Does not apply to orders values worth CAN$20 or less.

Rest of the world.  Information is unavailable. We will modify this as we receive more feedback from customers.

Return Policy

We have high standards and you should too. That’s why we offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, no return authorization required.

You may simply return the merchandise to PO Box 394, Cordova, Alaska 99574 with the original receipt and a note stating your reason for return, and we’ll gladly refund your purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee. The restocking fee simply covers our original expenses to fulfill and ship your order.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the items were received damaged or defective and you would like to make an exchange.

Cancellation Policy

We are happy to cancel orders that have not been shipped yet. Please reply to your order email as soon as possible as we try to ship orders same day.
